If you are working full time, your employer should get you an insurance. If you are unemployed try healthcare.gov you should be eligible for cheap subsidized insurance. If you are in between jobs try looking for cheap insurance. If you are young and healthy you should be fine. Like I have insurance for like 7 - 8 years but I don't remember using it may be few times for flu shot which is only 25-30$ if you pay in cash.
